Cold Ashton Parish Hall

Cold Ashton Parish Hall is one of the keystones of parish community life.  Since it was built in the 1920s, it has been run by a Parish Hall Committee that is a distinct and separate body to the Parish Council.  The Hall itself has been recently revamped with solar panels and new lighting (the event will be net zero).  Whereas we hold Parish Council meetings there and it is the voting station for the Parish, the Parish Hall Committee also runs regular community events there (Christmas parties, pub nights, harvest festivals and summer BBQs).  But this lovely facility is also available for private hire for clubs/associations, weddings, meetings and also band practice.

The hall is suitable for events of up to 60 people.  The hall has a kitchen with cooker/oven and fridge with a full complement of crockery and glasses.  The Hall itself has a small stage and has recently been rewired for a range of lighting effects.   There are tables and chairs – that can be arranged in whatever format you need.  The hall also has a wall mounted pull down projection screen and a flat screen TV with HDMI connection for slide shows and presentations.  It is currently hired out for events such as barn dances, meetings, band practices, yoga nights, weddings and other family/community celebrations (on top of the regular cycle of community events).

There is a car park and a small children’s outdoor playground area (suitable for children up to 12 years old).  It is located right on the Cotswold Way for all you walking groups and event organisers.  If you drop by on a Thursday morning, for a small donation there is coffee and cake – that will make the final walk along the Cotswold Way into Bath so much easier.
